4-20 Calendar: April 5th – Sensi Star

These sales are no joke!

Sensi Star – do you pronounce “sen-see” or “sen-sei”? Either way, this evening cultivar pops up in the roster of several licensed producers.

Admittedly, it’s not surprising: Sensi Star has a high THC potential and relatively rapid growth. It is best suited for outdoor cultivation. The cultivar was first bred in Amsterdam in the mid-nineties by Paradise Seeds. Since then, it has won a plethora of awards.

4-20 Calendar: April 4th – Sweet Jersey 3

These sales are no joke!

Sweet Jersey 3 by Riff is another example of a licensed producer who renamed their product. In fact, this 1 gram pre-roll is Riff’s take on Jean Guy.

As a result, I thought we’d take some time to learn how to pronounce the cultivar’s name:

  • Jean Guy: You probably read that as blue jeans and a guy. We’ll understand, and might even correct you.
  • J-uh Ghee: This is the correct pronunciation! We’ll understand, and assume that you either speak French or were previously corrected.
  • Jean Grey: Not actually correct. We’ll understand, and we won’t correct you. We’ll assume you also like comic books.
04/04/20: Sweet Jersey 3 by Riff | High THC Sativa.

Did you know? This was the very first strain Mimi smoked on Legalization day. Suitably, it was an obvious pick for the first Saturday of the month. With a peppery kick, this Jean Guy variant is great to get chores done or to watch a bilingual buddy cop movie with your friends over the net. Inhale after every time you yell out “Social Distancing!”

About Sweet Jersey 3

Spice up your life with Sweet Jersey 3 pre-rolls. This hoppy citrus sativa has a hint of spice, sure to help kick things up a notch.

A word to the wise:

As with most pre-rolls on the legal market, these are machine packed and rolled by the licensed producer. We strongly recommend giving the J a little massage to loosen up the herb. Another option would be to use a long toothpick to poke through the centre of the bat to create a chimney. The chimney allows the air to flow better and can help prevent canoeing.

Please note:

It’s important to remember that combustion is not the method of cannabis consumption that has the lowest-risk. In fact, edibles, oils, and dry flower vaporization are more recommended methods of consumption because they pose less risk. Visit “Canada’s Lower-Risk Cannabis Use Guidelines” for more information.

About Riff

Aphria is the medical licensed cannabis producer behind the brand Riff. Because they tend to produce high-THC, tasty and well known strains at a decent price, we often stock their products. Additionally, the oil vapes by Riff are full-spectrum, with cannabis-derived terpenes, and their cartridges are Pax Era Pods.

However, we do not stock their oils because they use Palm Oil derived MCT.

“RIFF is not a conventional cannabis brand. Created for the discerning cannabis consumer with an eye for the little things, RIFF is community x cannabis. Co-created by a community of artists, makers and cultural provocateurs, RIFF provides high-quality cannabis designed by nature.”

4-20 Calendar: April 3rd – Great White Shark

These sales are no joke!

In the wonderful world of cannabis, there are certain differences between the legal market and the black market that consumers should be aware of.

One example is Great White Shark. Historically, the cultivar was known as a hard-hitting indica with a big bite.

On the other hand, San Rafael ’71’s take on the cultivar is a high CBD sativa. It also contains a bit of THC. In fact, the ratio of CBD:THC makes this cultivar is a good option for new users. Many first time users report feeling altered mental and physical states. However, it’s important to note that everyone’s experience with cannabis is unique. Remember to start low and go slow.

03/04/20: Great White Shark by San Rafael '71 | Balanced THC/CBD Ratio.

Great White Shark helps you end your week with a level head. Of sorts. With twice as much CBD as THC, its balanced ratio pairs well with lemon-ginger herbal tea, chores and quarantine induced binge-watching of the Sharknado series. Or Jaws, if you’re a classicist.

About Great White Shark

This is the only Great White you’d be cool sharing the beach with. Carefully cultivated to the highest standard of quality, this best in class 2:1 Sativa strain offers the benefits of both CBD and THC, and is enhanced by its unique, earthy dominant aroma.

Sativa dominant.

About San Rafael ’71

“San Rafael, California. It’s where five pals gathered every day at 4:20 to search for their holy grail – an elusive, near-mythical patch of cannabis. While this crop was never found, the story continues to inspire us today.”

4-20 Calendar: April 2nd – Quadra

These sales are no joke!

Stoners get a bad rap. The stereotype focuses on someone lazing about. Likely, they’re in their pj’s all day. They are homebodies who rarely leave the house.

In the era of social isolation, who’s a humble hero now?

The rest of you probably feel a little stir crazy. To break the monotony for a bit, why not take a “trip” to Quadra by Broken Coast?

02/04/20: Quadra byBroken Coast | A variant of Headstash.

Quadra is part of the Discovery Islands in BC. The island seems tame on its Wikipedia page. However, the fictional crime thriller MARRY, BANG, KILL by Canadian author Andrew Battershill paints the quaint island in a different light. Pick it up if you’re a fan of Terry Fallis (The Best Laid Plans) or Andy Weir (The Martian) and enjoy gritty crime novels.

About Quadra

Named after Quadra Island off the west coast of British Columbia, this strain produces thick, powerful smoke with a funky kush flavour and notes of mandarin zest.

It’s a variant of Headstash.

The cultivar is indica dominant.

Available in 3.5 gram containers.
Caryophyllene is the main terpene found in Quadra
Limonene is the secondary terpene found in Quadra
Terpineol is the tertiary terpene found in Quadra
